Gemini Legal, based in Rocklin, CA, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers, own performance and growth, and guide design decisions while remaining technically credible. The role partners with Tech Leads to manage delivery and prioritize work in a hybrid-remote environment.

You will oversee hiring, onboarding, career development, and ensure delivery commitments are met, with hands-on coding about 20% of the time and a focus on architectural direction and engineering standards

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience directly managing engineers, including performance review responsibility.
• Experience managing a team of five or more direct reports preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a team of engineers and own performance and growth.
• Manage performance reviews, recognition, and addressing underperformance promptly and directly.
• Lead hiring, define the role, review candidates, interview, and decide in partnership with HR.
• Onboard new engineers and ensure they reach independent contribution within ramp period.
• Translate business objectives into achievable engineering plans with Product Owners and Designers.
• Maintain technical credibility; contribute hands-on ~20% of time as needed.
