Job summary

Dutchie is seeking a mission-driven Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team of roughly four to eight engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, ownership, and psychological safety. As a manager, you are an active coach, a technical steward, and a strategic partner to Product and Design to build enterprise-grade software for our customers.

You’ll stay hands-on, contribute code, and drive improvements while partnering across teams to ensure quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering management experience leading high-performing teams.
• Strong foundation in software engineering with IC background.
• Ownership mindset across team delivery, technical health, and product alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of 4-8 engineers with feedback and growth.
• Provide technical direction on proposals, rollout plans, and architecture.
• Stay hands-on with coding and modern agentic practices.
• Drive high standards for system quality and incident response as IC Commander.
• Partner with Product and Design to co-author roadmaps and align tech strategy.
• Collaborate with peers to reduce cross-team dependencies.
