Snap Inc. is seeking an Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact engineering team in a fast-paced environment. You will set strategy, build roadmaps, and drive delivery across Product, Ops, Data Science and Engineering, while mentoring engineers and guiding architectural decisions.

You will evaluate tradeoffs, hire and retain top talent, and leverage AI tools to accelerate development while ensuring code correctness, security, and production readiness in scalable services.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience or equivalent via advanced degrees.
• 1+ years of experience managing a team or acting as a technical lead.
• Experience with distributed systems and web development.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of developers in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environment.
• Set strategy, build a roadmap, create measurable goals, and lead delivery.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, Data Science and Engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs and mentor technically on architecture and design.
• Hire, grow and retain high-performing team members.
• Utilize AI tools and high-velocity workflows to design scalable services with production-ready, secure code.
