Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for Infrastructure in the Geo Auto domain. Lead an engineering team, own the strategy for modernizing data delivery infrastructure, and drive daily releases with high QPS and low latency.

You will influence cross-functional teams across maps, AI, and navigation, guiding architecture while developing your engineers and shaping product strategy. Location is Seattle, WA; advanced experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or compute/storage/hardware architecture.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

• Manage and develop an engineering team, staffing, career growth, and high-performance environment.
• Own strategy, scope, and outcomes for modernizing data delivery infrastructure.
• Accelerate data pipeline cadence to daily releases and manage high-QPS, low-latency serving layers.
• Lead through architectural ambiguity by breaking down large-scale data and infrastructure challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align roadmaps and power foundational data infrastructure.
