For our client, we are seeking a Engineering Manager, Identity & Access Platform to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will guide the technical direction of a critical identity and access platform, balancing architecture, execution, and operational reliability. You will lead a team of backend and frontend engineers while partnering closely with Security and Product to shape secure, scalable authentication and authorization capabilities. The position calls for both hands-on technical judgment and people leadership, with a focus on delivering a coherent roadmap, strengthening engineering practices, and supporting incident response when needed. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $195,000 – $236,667 annually

Responsibilities

• Own the technical vision and roadmap for the identity and access platform.
• Manage and develop a team of backend and frontend engineers, setting clear expectations and providing feedback.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing software engineers, including hiring and performance management.
• Hands-on experience building identity, authentication, or authorization systems at scale.
• Strong architectural judgment with a history of designing systems for team use.
• Technical proficiency with recent involvement in production code and debugging.
• Experience addressing real-world security challenges in identity and authorization systems.
• Excellent communication skills for writing design documents and conveying complex ideas clearly.
