Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Staff Engineer to join its Enterprise Technology team, focusing on identity and access management. Remote, US-based candidates only, with compensation of $164,450–$226,550 annually.

You will partner with security and product engineering to build scalable authentication, authorization, and user management systems serving a global user base. Responsibilities include designing the authorization platform, enhancing authentication, and guiding the long-term IAM roadmap.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience focusing on IAM systems.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, and WebFlux.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, GraphQL, gRPC, and REST APIs.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML 2.0.
• Experience in event-driven architecture and automated testing practices.

Responsibilities

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will shape the core identity and access management capabilities that underpin secure product experiences across the organization. You will partner closely with security and product engineering teams to build scalable authentication, authorization, and user management systems that support a growing global user base. The work will have broad technical impact, influencing platform architecture, self-service access patterns, and the long-term direction of critical infrastructure. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $164,450 - $226,550 annually
