Job summary

Google Cloud seeks an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead multiple teams across information retrieval, AI, distributed computing, and large-scale systems. You will guide technical direction, manage engineers, and oversee project goals and budgets.

You will influence product strategy and help grow a high-performance engineering organization across locations. You will also ensure effective collaboration across teams, deploy large-scale projects globally, and drive engineering

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of software development experience.
3 years in a technical leadership role.
3 years in developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute/storage/hardware.
2 years in people management or team leadership.

Responsibilities

Set and communicate team priorities aligned with org goals.
Set clear expectations and provide performance feedback and coaching.
Develop mid-term technical goals and roadmap for multiple teams.
Design, guide and vet system designs; write code to solve complex problems.
Review code and ensure best practices in style, accuracy, tests, and efficiency.
