Job summary

Lambda is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a distributed team responsible for deploying and operating our GPU-based production infrastructure. You will work across hardware, software, and datacenter domains to ensure reliable, scalable systems and deliver high-impact, long-term improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading or managing engineers in AI/ML infrastructure or large-scale compute environment.
• Owned production systems with SLAs and balanced continuity with long-term improvements.
• Proficient in Linux; able to debug across OS, hardware, and networking layers.
• Able to lead medium-to-large technical designs: document, align, and ship.
• Strong project management, deadline-driven, and able to negotiate timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a distributed team of engineers responsible for deployment and operation of production systems infrastructure.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver projects and deployments on time.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains in tools, processes, and automation used daily.
• Provide stakeholders with clear visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes.
• Participate in qualification efforts for new technologies entering production deployments.
• Manage staff allocation, project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, provide feedback, and support career development.
