Job summary

Lambda is hiring Engineering Managers for Fleet Reliability, HPC Deployments, Fleet Foundation, and Fleet Orchestration / Automation. You will lead a distributed team responsible for deployment and operation of Lambda's production GPU infrastructure, partnering across hardware, software, and data-center domains.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, design leadership, and delivering projects on time, with a focus on reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading or managing engineers in AI/ML infrastructure or large-scale compute environments.
• Own production systems with real SLAs and balance running stability with long-term improvements.
• Strong Linux skills and the ability to debug across OS, hardware, and networking layers.
• Ability to lead technical design on medium-to-large projects: define, document, align, ship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a distributed team of engineers responsible for deployment and operation of production systems infrastructure.
• Work cross-functionally to deliver projects and deployments on time, aligning across stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains in tools, processes, and automation used across the organization.
• Provide stakeholders with clear visibility into project progress, risks, and outcomes.
• Participate in qualification efforts for new technologies entering production deployments.
• Drive staff allocation, project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
