Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Engineering Manager for the CNI team to hire, mentor, and grow a distributed group of Software Engineers. You will work with Product Managers and engineering leaders to set the vision and drive the roadmap for interconnect provisioning and network services.

You will lead efforts to improve reliability and automation, oversee on-call rotations, and collaborate across Network Operations and partner teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as an Engineering Manager for a team of Software and Systems Engineers.
• Proven track record of hiring, onboarding, and professional development.
• Experience planning and executing with predictable delivery.
• Technical background in IP networking: BGP, Layer 3 routing, interconnect technologies.
• Experience building or operating provisioning/automation systems for network infrastructure.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and debugging distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Hire, mentor, and coach a distributed team of software engineers.
• Communicate vision, prioritize roadmap, and align with product leadership.
• Ensure reliability and automation improvements across provisioning pipelines.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on capacity planning and integrations.
• Manage on-call rotations and incident response for production services.
