Materion is seeking a Senior Capital Projects Manager for the Elmore, Ohio facility to provide technical leadership and oversee large capital projects (>$40M). You will work with matrix teams, manage scope, budgets, and schedules, and ensure successful project execution under the VP of Strategic Projects.
Experience in manufacturing project delivery, strong communication, and ability to lead multifunctional teams is essential.
Based out of Materion Elmore Ohio facility, this position will provide technical leadership and manage the execution of larger projects (>$40M). You will work closely with team members in a matrix environment to ensure all project requirements, deadlines, budgets, and schedules are on track. Under the direction of the VP of Strategic Projects, the SCPM will oversee and manage large capital projects for the Elmore site with proper project scoping, planning, development, and execution.
Education: BS degree in an engineering field (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil) required. Preferred: PMP certification, Professional Engineering License.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of engineering in manufacturing plant environments supporting and managing medium to large capital projects up to $40M; 5+ years in Project Management with a track record of executing projects from concept to completion.
Technical Skills: Proficient with MS Office, MS Project and Visio; solid knowledge of contracts (design & construction), schedules, cost estimating and the design process; working knowledge of SAP, SharePoint, project management software.
Preferred: Experience running projects in a metals industry; working with Third‑Party Engineering Services, Contract Consultants and Construction Contractors.
