Job summary

JPMorganChase is hiring a Manager of Software Engineering to guide multiple teams within Consumer & Community Banking. You will lead day-to-day development, enforce compliance and business requirements, and shape the program’s technology strategy across AI-enabled engineering and enterprise tooling.

You will mentor engineers, drive secure production code and scalable architecture, and collaborate with application teams to deliver reliable, compliant solutions for global customers.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience managing technology initiatives and leading technology projects.
• Hands-on system design, development, testing, and operational stability experience.
• Proficient in the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Strong knowledge of the financial services IT landscape.
• Experience with AWS services (EKS, ECS, PostgreSQL, Lambda, S3).
• Ability to lead AI-assisted development adoption with governance.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance to an immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and priorities.
• Sets overall guidance and expectations for team output, collaboration, and best practices.
• Mentors engineers and partners with application teams on reliability, performance, risk, and compliance.
• Leads adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and SDLC automation to improve delivery speed and quality.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to enhance automation and capacity unlock initiatives.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews peers' work.
• Identifies opportunities to automate recurring issues to improve stability.
• Leads feature design and strategy for the program.
• Prototypes AI-enabled workflows and translates stakeholder needs into technical designs.
