Job summary

Stripe is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Abuse Research Group (ARG), a team of threat intelligence analysts, fraud researchers, and detection engineers. You will set the research agenda, drive investigations, and ensure findings become production-ready detection rules and automated responses.

You will scale the team through hiring, coaching, and mentorship while partnering with Risk, Trust & Safety, Fraud Platform, and Security Engineering to fortify Stripe’s defenses against abuse

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading security engineering or research teams.
• Experience in adversarial threat intelligence and fraud detection.
• Ability to present complex findings to leadership and coordinate with partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Abuse Research Group (ARG) and set the research agenda.
• Hire, coach, and develop team members to grow expertise.
• Translate research into production-grade detection rules and automation.
• Collaborate with Risk, Trust & Safety, Fraud Platform, and Security Engineering.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and other external stakeholders.
