Stripe is seeking a senior leader to run the Abuse Research Group (ARG), guiding threat intelligence, fraud research, and detection engineering. You will shape the research agenda, mentor engineers, and scale the team while serving as a trusted advisor on complex investigations.

You will work with Risk, Trust & Safety, Fraud Platform, and Security Engineering to translate research into proactive protections, disrupt actor campaigns, and advance Stripe's defenses for merchants globally.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of experience leading security engineering or research teams with a track record of managing technical ICs.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent security experience.
• Experience recruiting, growing, and leading technical teams, including performance management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for leadership and incident reporting.
• Familiarity with fraud and abuse patterns in payments/fintech.
• Hands-on threat intelligence tradecraft: OSINT, dark web collection, actor attribution, and structured intel frameworks.
• Strong understanding of threat actor TTPs.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Abuse Research Group (ARG) of threat intelligence analysts, fraud researchers, and detection engineers.
• Set research agenda across threat actor tracking, investigations, merchant defense, and automated detection engineering.
• Provide depth and judgment on investigations including API key takeovers and account compromise campaigns.
• Operationalize research findings into production detection rules and automated responses.
• Collaborate with Risk, Trust & Safety, Fraud Platform, and Security Engineering for proactive protections.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and external stakeholders to disrupt high-impact actors.
• Coach and mentor team members for career development while maintaining high technical standards.
