Job summary

Anthropic seeks an Engineering Manager for Finance Engineering in the SF Bay Area. You will lead engineers building the platform that processes finance events, with an accounting ledger and real-time production services.

You’ll collaborate with Billing, Compute and Infra, and finance operations to align on design, contracts and SOX controls. Prior leadership in high-volume backends is essential.

Qualifications

• Led teams that build and run high-volume backend systems where correctness matters.
• Experience with event-driven processing, idempotency, replay and backfill in production.
• Strong judgment on platform boundaries, data contracts and API design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers; hire, coach and maintain engineering quality.
• Own delivery of the finance event front door, and the accounting ledger and engine.
• Ensure production services reliability with clear SLOs and audit-ready checks.
