The role combines technical leadership, program and process management, and continuous improvement to deliver highquality products on schedule and within budget while ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor and grow a multidisciplinary engineering team (electrical, electronics, industrial and manufacturing engineers) to meet technical and program goals.
  • Manage product development lifecycle from concept through design, verification, validation, production handoff and sustainment for industrial, defense and aerospace projects.
  • Define technical direction, set priorities, allocate resources and track program milestones to ensure ontime delivery and budget adherence.
  • Drive manufacturing readiness and production optimization by working closely with manufacturing engineering, operations and supply chain teams.
  • Implement and oversee quality and process frameworks including APQP, PPAP and AS9100/ISO standards to ensure product reliability and regulatory compliance.
  • Own ERP integration and data governance for engineering and manufacturing workflows (e.g., BOM management, change control and release processes).
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles (5S, Ucell, value stream mapping) to increase throughput, reduce waste and improve safety.
  • Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to qualify components, manage vendor performance and resolve technical issues.
  • Coordinate crossfunctional teams (program management, quality, test, regulatory and production) and communicate program status to senior leadership and customers.
  • Support proposal development, technical reviews and customer engagements for defense and aerospace contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual and export control requirements.
  • Recruit, develop and retain top engineering talent, setting clear performance expectations and providing regular feedback and career development support.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience with at least 3 years in a peoplemanagement or technical leadership role, preferably in manufacturing, defense or aerospace environments.
  • Handson experience with electrical and electronic systems design, manufacturing processes and DFMEA/DFM best practices.
  • Proven experience implementing and working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) to manage engineering and production data.
  • Practical knowledge of Lean manufacturing methods including 5S and Ucell implementation and demonstrated success driving continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, AS9100 and other quality frameworks used in automotive, defense and aerospace industries.
  • Experience navigating defense and aerospace compliance requirements and export controls (ITAR/EAR) is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills, including schedule and budget management, risk identification and mitigation.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to influence crossfunctional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel to supplier sites and customer locations as required; security clearance preferred but not required.
