Job summary

KBR Careers in Washington, DC is seeking an Engineering Manager (Contingency Hire) to provide technical leadership for DoD programs. You will direct teams responsible for network infrastructure, IA, software applications, and enterprise information systems, ensuring compliance, resource management, and successful project execution.

The role emphasizes mission-focused solutions, quality, security, and operational excellence, with on-site work in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II Certification.
• Minimum of 10 years in a senior engineering leadership role.
• Minimum of 10 years managing IT/IP engineers on complex IT projects.
• Experience with network infrastructure, Information Assurance, software applications, and enterprise networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering teams supporting enterprise IT and network infrastructure projects.
• Oversee design, integration, and sustainment of complex information systems.
• Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements and contractual obligations.
• Manage schedules, risks, resources, and deliverables across multiple initiatives.
• Coordinate with program management, customers, subcontractors, and stakeholders for successful execution.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to engineering staff.
• Support proposal development, technical reviews, and strategic planning.
