Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE) Data Services seeks a Software Development Manager to lead the team building ICE's next‑gen enterprise data platform, enabling analytics, ML, and AI workflows.

You'll mentor engineers, translate platform objectives into roadmaps, and partner with architecture, product, governance, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure platform reliability, quality, and scale across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software, data, or platform engineering experience.
• 2+ years leading or managing engineering teams with delivery accountability.
• Experience with enterprise-scale data platforms, distributed systems, and data governance.
• Strong SDLC, Agile delivery, CI/CD, automated testing, and production support knowledge.
• Experience with containerized environments and platform reliability practices.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, data modeling, and data warehouse concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software and data engineers for enterprise data platform capabilities.
• Translate platform objectives into clear roadmaps, delivery plans, milestones, and outcomes.
• Oversee scalable, secure, and reliable data platform services including orchestration and pipeline automation.
• Partner with architecture, infrastructure, product, governance, QA, ML/AI, and business stakeholders to align priorities.
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices for version control, CI/CD, testing, code review, and production support.
• Drive self-service platform capabilities for data pipelines with guardrails and reduced centralized dependency.
• Champion data quality, lineage, governance, contracts, and lifecycle management.
