Job summary

Zones IT Solutions is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Zones Digital Platform initiative. You will hire and mentor engineers, collaborate with product management, and define architecture roadmaps in a fast-paced, enterprise-scale environment.

This role requires deep technical expertise across modern languages and cloud platforms, a proven ability to build and scale geo-distributed teams, and a track record of delivering complex software for B2B/B2C customers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience.
• 10+ years of experience developing and managing complex enterprise software.
• 5+ years of experience building and leading large geo-distributed teams.
• 5+ years of experience in software development building large scale B2B and B2C products
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, and or relevant experience
• Hands-on technical experience with any of the following: C/C++, PHP, Python, Rust, Go React, Angular, JavaScript, AWS, Azure, RESTful API, GraphQL, etc.
• Ability to review and critique engineering design and architectural decisions
• Strong ability to hire top talent, inspire, lead, and develop leaders
• Proven track record of leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives
• Deep understanding and commitment to software engineering best practices and principles
• Strong executive presence and experience working across organizational boundaries
• Ability to form alliances with other leaders and executives, and build bridges that support company goals
• Outstanding and compelling written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Hire and lead engineering teams responsible for building the Zones Digital Platform.
• Work with product management to understand and prioritize technical requirements.
• Propose and validate software architecture designs, implementation methodologies, and engineering roadmaps.
• Directly manage and mentor a team of engineering leaders and architects to broaden their skills, increase their day-to-day effectiveness, and ultimately grow their careers.
• Help Zones foster and grow a culture of innovation.
