Job summary

Zone & Co is seeking an accomplished Director of Engineering to lead and scale our engineering teams across the Americas, overseeing Platform Services and AI, Quote-to-Cash and ZoneProcure domains. You will collaborate with teams in EMEA and APAC to deliver innovative fintech/ERP solutions for a global client base.

The role requires a metrics-driven leader with hands-on technical expertise, driving AI strategy, technical excellence, and successful project delivery across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles, including leading remote-first teams across multiple time zones.
• Familiarity with agentic SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, DevEx.
• Strong understanding of APIs (REST/SOAP), data modeling, and systems integration.
• Experience leading teams in the Americas with collaboration across EMEA and APAC.
• Domain experience in fintech, billing, reporting, or ERP systems; Oracle NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale engineering teams across the Americas and EMEA to deliver innovative solutions across zones.
• Oversee design, development, and deployment of Platform Services and AI offerings across product portfolio.
• Drive engineering practices, code reviews, architecture reviews, and technical mentorship.
• Ensure timely, high-quality delivery through effective planning and resource management.
• Collaborate with Product, Professional Services, Customer Success, and cross-functional partners to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
• Partner with product teams in multiple regions to align product strategy and execution.
• Champion modern engineering practices, AI-powered development tools, CI/CD, DevOps, and automated testing.
• Drive remediation of technical debt and continuous improvement of processes.
