Job summary

The Town of Holly Springs is seeking an Engineering Manager in the Development Services department. The role oversees the development review process for plans and engineering studies, coordinating with multiple Town divisions and external agencies to support responsible growth.

Reports to the Division Manager, supervises staff, and participates in budget processes, policy development, and Public presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, or a related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible Municipal engineering including review and design experience with civil engineering projects, with municipal utilities, transportation, stormwater and land disturbance.
• Two years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise staff in Development Services to ensure delivery of quality engineering services.
• Oversee development review process for plan and engineering study reviews in line with growth goals, ordinances and standards.
• Coordinate engineering activities with Town departments, agencies and external partners to support responsible growth.
• Assist in managing the annual budget process; prepare documents and budget recommendations; collaborate with managers to review submissions.
• Provide guidance on codes, standards, and ordinances related to transportation, utilities, stormwater and land disturbance.
• Present staff recommendations and engineering issues in workshops, meetings, and public hearings.
