Job summary

Affirm is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Developer Environments team in Boston. This pivotal role will focus on enhancing developer productivity and reliability across the organization. You will define the vision for Developer Environments, mentor engineers, and ensure seamless integration with CI/CD and other engineering teams. Ideal candidates have over 7 years of software engineering experience with management experience and a strong technical background in infrastructure systems. Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years of engineering management.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams in infrastructure or developer productivity.
• Strong technical background in backend/infrastructure systems.
• Experience building cloud-native systems using infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Hands-on familiarity with CI/CD systems and containerized environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead team responsible for Developer Environments and inner-loop developer productivity.
• Define technical strategy and align it with business-impacting projects.
• Own the design and reliability of developer systems.
