OBE is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead Design and Production Engineering, translating customer needs into fabrication-ready specs and guiding two linked engineering functions. This role blends technical leadership with strategic process improvements across manufacturing, fabrication, and project delivery.

You will mentor staff, drive cost and quality improvements, and coordinate product launches while collaborating with sales, architects, and operations to meet customer specifications.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Civil, or Architectural Engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering management in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years in engineer-to-order manufacturing.
• 3+ years in fabrication or design engineering.
• Strong organizational and project planning skills.
• Experience in building, remodeling, or retrofit industries.
• Exposure to CNC or production software inputs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering staff.
• Translate customer requirements into fabrication-ready specs.
• Oversee Design and Production Engineering functions.
• Ensure on-time delivery and budgeted volumes.
• Coordinate manufacturing launches of new or revised products.
• Collaborate with sales, project management, and architects.
• Drive cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency.
• Support cross-functional teams and manufacturing capabilities.
