Ladders is seeking an Engineering Manager, Data Streaming to lead a data streaming engineering team building reliable ingestion systems for a scalable data platform. This hands-on leadership role requires technical depth in streaming data and strong execution discipline, with a focus on data quality and ownership.

The role is remote with flexible work options and collaborates with cross-functional teams to scale pipeline performance while growing the team.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years leading data ingestion or ETL/ELT teams in production.
• Strong knowledge of streaming architectures such as Kafka or Kinesis.
• Proven track record designing scalable normalization and enrichment pipelines.
• Ability to define and manage SLOs for data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud-native data pipeline operations and failure modes.
• Proficiency in Go or Python for pipeline code.

For our client, we are seeking a Engineering Manager, Data Streaming to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.

This role will lead a data streaming engineering team responsible for building reliable, scalable ingestion systems that support the organization's data platform. The successful candidate will partner closely with cross-functional teams to improve data quality, strengthen operational ownership, and enable the business to scale pipeline performance efficiently. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for someone who combines technical depth in streaming data with strong team leadership and execution discipline.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $225,250 – $265,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the data streaming sub-team, ensuring engineering execution and team health
