Job summary

HighLevel is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Custom Objects team, responsible for building and scaling flexible data models within the CRM platform. You will own architectural direction, platform quality, and the future of one of HighLevel’s core building blocks.

You’ll lead a team of engineers, drive reliability and observability, and partner with Product and Design to deliver impactful capabilities across products, all within a remote-first, globally distributed

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, with at least 2+ years managing teams building complex, high-scale, product-driven systems.
• Experience with scalable, high-availability distributed systems.
• Demonstrated success mentoring engineers and developing leaders.
• Strong track record influencing architectural direction for multi-surface platforms.
• Preferable but not required: GoHighLevel stack or similar (Node.js/TypeScript, Go, GCP, Firestore, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ~10-15 engineers building the Custom Objects platform, including backend services, APIs, UI integrations, and automation support.
• Define and evolve data models: extend, relate, and use custom objects at scale with performance and safety.
• Own architecture, reliability, observability, and delivery of new capabilities across products.
