Seesaw is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Core Systems team, responsible for foundational capabilities powering Seesaw at scale.

You will guide a team of engineers through architecture decisions, reliability improvements, and product delivery while navigating growth into new markets and capabilities. Strong leadership and technical depth are essential for driving pragmatic, incremental platform investments.

Qualifications

• Experience managing software engineering teams responsible for complex production systems.
• Strong software engineering background with depth in architecture and system design discussions.
• Experience designing, operating, or leading teams responsible for distributed systems, backend services, or shared platforms.
• Track record of delivering significant technical initiatives involving multiple systems or teams.
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a strong engineering team by coaching, developing, and assigning responsibilities.
• Own foundational systems and establish architectural direction with senior staff engineers.
• Translate broad goals into executable engineering plans with incremental milestones.
• Make internal teams more effective by building APIs, services, and tooling for product teams.
• Maintain an operational culture focused on reliability, observability, and incident response.
