Job summary

Woodweb is seeking a skilled Manufacturing/Engineering Specialist in Virginia to develop and implement policy and procedures within the Engineering department. The role focuses on optimizing design processes, BOM management, router creation, and production planning.

The successful candidate will leverage Microvellum proficiency, manage engineering tasks, ensure on-time delivery, and drive continual improvement across the department while coordinating with ERP systems and manufacturing partners.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microvellum software.
• Experience reviewing technical work across design engineering, BOM and router creation, materials specification, procurement, fabrication of prototypes, and production release documents.
• Detail oriented; able to create design drawings from written and verbal instructions; read complex drawings.
• Experience developing manufacturing routers and ERP system usage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policy and procedures in the Engineering department.
• Research, evaluate and implement software tools used by the department and development of long-term strategic plans such as new software systems and new production machinery.
• Provides opportunities for reports to develop the full potential of their individual skills and abilities while striving for continuous improvement in all aspects of company operations.
• Manage the department to complete assigned tasks on time and maintain outstanding attendance.
