Job summary

Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the IAM group. You will shape identity, authentication, authorization, and key-management services that power Lambda's cloud offerings.

This role demands strong architectural judgment and a track record of delivering secure, scalable platforms across APIs, Console, Kubernetes, and cloud services. You'll drive alignment with Security, Product, Compliance, and customer teams, building durable platform capabilities adopted

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software engineering experience with leadership.
• Experience building distributed, highly available systems.
• Strong expertise in IAM, authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement.
• Ability to guide architecture tradeoffs across security, scale, and operability.
• Proven track record of growing high-performing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and grow the IAM engineering team with a culture of ownership.
• Define long-term technical strategy for Lambda's IAM platform.
• Develop secure, scalable identity capabilities for users, services, and workloads.
• Evolve the authorization platform with least-privilege defaults and auditability.
• Ensure adoption across Lambda services via consistent APIs and standards.
• Own the Key Management Service across compute, storage, and networking.
• Oversee reliability, security, performance, and incident response for IAM services.
• Communicate strategy and health metrics to senior leadership.
• Balance complexity and flexibility for enterprise-grade IAM with simple UX.
