Job summary

Cboe Global Markets is seeking an Engineering Manager for CCUS, overseeing software engineers building clearing systems. You will lead delivery across the full lifecycle, influence architecture, and drive high-trust practices in a 4-day in-office model in Chicago.

You will collaborate with product and QA, own design decisions, and mentor engineers to improve performance and delivery metrics while maintaining robust production support.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering, with 3+ years managing engineers.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in clearing, post-trade processing or capital markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a software engineering team with performance management and hiring.
• Minimize cognitive load on leads and engineers to focus on domain problems in code.
• Collaborate with QA/test engineering on delivery goals.
• Apply domain knowledge of clearing and post-trade processing to guide design decisions.
• Align the roadmap with product management against delivery capacity.
• Reduce friction between engineers and product/operations teams.
• Shape team boundaries and ownership for intended architecture.
• Own architecture decision records and keep them current as designs evolve.
• Ensure code review practices and coding standards are enforced.
• Improve deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, and MTTR.
• Run on-call and production support for services.
