Job summary

Stripe is seeking an experienced engineering leader to guide the Commerce Systems team responsible for monetization, billing, and self-service enhancements. The role focuses on building scalable platforms that enable Stripe and customers to monetize products across global markets.

You will shape strategies, mentor engineers, recruit leaders, and collaborate with product, finance, strategy, accounting, tax, and compliance to drive impactful outcomes across time zones and distributed partners.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of engineering experience
• Minimum 4 years in management
• Experience leading 8+ engineers
• Proven cross-functional decision making
• Strong communication across time zones

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and design processes for a high-impact team
• Set strategies and priorities across monetization, self-service, and technical foundations
• Mentor and coach engineers, and hire to build a strong leadership bench
• Collaborate with product, finance, strategy, accounting, tax, and compliance to align objectives
• Drive ownership and accountability for billing outcomes and platform scalability
• Foster inclusive collaboration across time zones and distributed partners
