Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking an Engineering Manager, Applied AI in the United States. You will lead a team of engineers, balance hands-on development with people management, and oversee applied AI delivery across complex enterprise environments.

You will review architectures, agent designs, prompts, evaluations, and production systems, while coaching engineers and maintaining a high technical bar. Hybrid NYC, US/Canada remote options, competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing software engineers with feedback and coaching.
• 5+ years software engineering with ability to review designs and guide decisions.
• Strong hands-on Python experience.
• Experience delivering production software in client environments.
• Strong interest in applied AI, including agents, evaluations, and multi-agent systems.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools and modern AI-assisted workflows.
• Strong technical judgment and clear communication with engineers and clients.
• High-trust, high-agency leadership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineers through senior level, providing direct feedback and supporting progression toward technical leadership.
• Review architecture, agent designs, prompt strategies, and evaluation approaches across client engagements.
• Step into complex technical and client situations, making timely decisions to keep engagements moving.
• Build engagement-level relationships with clients and stakeholders in partnership with product and client teams.
• Manage staffing and team transitions across engagements, anticipate capacity and delivery risks.
• Support engineering hiring by interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members.
• Contribute to engineering practices by identifying recurring patterns and sharing lessons.
• Remain close to hands-on engineering work and provide technical guidance when blocked.
