Job summary

SRS Distribution - McKinney seeks a Software Engineering Manager for Heritage Integrations to lead API and EDI-driven partner integrations. You will shape scalable integration patterns, mentor engineers, and balance rapid delivery with platform strategy.

The role focuses on onboarding partners, building reusable APIs, and driving Enterprise Integration Layer standards across fulfillment, logistics, and retail ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on engineering leader in API development and system integrations.
• Minimum 5 years building cloud-native apps and integrations with microservices/SOA.
• Strong expertise in Azure (Functions, API Management, Service Bus/Event Grid).
• Proficient in .NET/C#.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integration patterns.
• Knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and common transactions (850, 855, 856, 810, 846).
• Experience designing/implementing partner-facing APIs and external integrations.
• Experience with EDI platforms/tools (SPS Commerce, Cleo, Boomi, MuleSoft, Logic Apps).
• Strong understanding of data transformation, mapping, and orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of security standards (OAuth, API security, OWASP).
• Experience with observability tools and logging frameworks.
• Practical AI-assisted development experience and AI-driven solutions.
• Ability to balance delivery speed with long-term architectural integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical onboarding of new partners and customers across API and EDI integration models.
• Act as the primary engineering leader supporting partner integrations with business development and product teams.
• Translate partner requirements into scalable integration solutions while balancing customization and reuse.
• Evaluate and recommend integration patterns: REST APIs, event-driven, EDI batch/file models, hybrid approaches.
• Own integration success from onboarding through production stability.
• Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and integration apps for partner onboarding and growth initiatives.
• Develop EDI integrations (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and support 850/855/856 transactions.
• Ensure APIs follow Enterprise Integration Layer standards: canonical data models, observability, security.
