Job summary

NetDocuments is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team delivering shared AI capabilities across our platform. You will drive execution, guide technical direction, and build scalable, secure AI-powered solutions for legal professionals.

You will partner with Product, Architecture, and senior engineers to translate AI technologies into concrete product capabilities, ensure enterprise readiness, and foster a high-performing engineering culture focused on quality and delivery.

Qualifications

6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
2+ years managing software engineering teams.
Experience delivering production-grade AI or LLM-powered features within an enterprise SaaS environment.
Strong understanding of LLMs, including prompt engineering, RAG, context limitations, latency, cost considerations, and common failure modes.
Familiarity with AI evaluation methodologies and retrieval systems.
Understanding of AI agent architectures and Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Responsibilities

Lead planning and execution of AI capability delivery with reliable performance.
Partner with Product and Architecture to translate needs into scalable, secure solutions.
Guide architectural decisions and evaluate AI designs for latency, cost, and security.
Mentor engineers and drive a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Align cross-functional teams and communicate progress to leadership.
