Cartesia is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead one of our core engineering teams in a hands-on, people-first role. You will build and grow a team of 7+ engineers, own its technical direction, and stay close enough to the work to provide meaningful leadership when it matters.

You will drive hiring, performance management, and career development while partnering with Product and Research to deliver on company priorities. We ship fast with a strong emphasis on quality and observability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and growing engineering teams.
• Strong technical depth with architecture and systems design.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects in fast environments.
• Ability to set priorities and drive execution with impact.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with product and research.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performance engineering team.
• Own your team's roadmap, decisions, and delivery cadence.
• Provide technical leadership across architecture, design reviews, incidents.
• Understand systems deeply and challenge assumptions to unblock the team.
• Partner with Product, Research, and other teams to align on priorities.
• Scale systems to meet business growth while maintaining quality and reliability.
