Job summary

4MindsAI Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager in Dallas to lead a software team building an ambitious AI platform. You will own people, processes, and delivery, balancing feature work with technical excellence across multi‑cloud and on‑prem deployments.

This role requires 10+ years in software engineering with 3+ in leadership, plus hands-on coding about 50% of the time. You will shape sprint discipline, release communication, incident response, and engineering culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years software engineering, with 3+ years in a manager/lead role.
• Experience building engineering processes in fast-growth environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a software engineering team across sprint cycles and delivery milestones.
• Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Own release communication and keep the organization informed of changes with each release.
• Establish mature incident response protocols and cross-functional communication during outages.
• Partner with CTO to prioritize work based on business impact and technical debt.
• Collaborate with product leadership to balance features and maintainability.
• Oversee production deployments, quality, docs, and rollback readiness.
• Establish coding standards and architectural reviews across the team.
• Remove blockers and drive productivity through standups, 1:1s, and cross-team coordination.
• Create architecture decision docs and release notes across the org.
• Track velocity, health, and delivery metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent as the team scales.
• Serve as escalation point for incidents with timely updates to stakeholders.
• Contribute hands-on technical work roughly 50% of the time.
