Job summary

Harper is seeking an Engineering Manager for the TLM Platform in San Francisco. You will own infrastructure, drive developer productivity with AI tooling, and lead SRE and production support as we scale.

You will stay hands-on while growing a small team from the current two to five or six members. AWS/GCP experience and strong database skills are essential to ensure high performance at scale.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as a line manager directly managing teams of six to ten people.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP and strong database troubleshooting skills.
• Experience dealing with scale, e.g. millions of requests per minute, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure across cloud and third-party vendors.
• Build developer productivity through AI tooling and harnesses.
• Own SRE and production support with strong production discipline.
• Grow the team from 2 to 5–6 members over the next three months.
• Stay hands-on and contribute directly with the team.
• Develop each function into a larger, capable team over time.
