Job summary

Coram AI in Sunnyvale, CA, seeks an engineering leader to head our California team. You will guide architecture, review, and customer-facing engineering while growing the team and staying close to code.

You’ll work with the CTO, CEO, and Product to scale our edge AI platform and cloud infrastructure as we expand 2-3x. Ideal candidates have spent time at a top-tier engineering culture, managed engineers, and built a high-performing team with a strong hiring track record.

Qualifications

• Reached Staff / very senior IC level and spent a couple of years there before moving into management (typically after ~4-5 years engineering).
• Current or prior experience managing engineers (Tech Lead Manager or Engineering Manager).
• Deep strength in at least one of: distributed / real-time systems (e.g. C++), robotics / AI, or HPC.
• Time inside an established top-tier engineering culture with exposure to how a 50-100+ person org operates.
• A strong hiring track record and a high bar for what "great" looks like.
• Still genuinely hands-on and motivated by ownership, impact, and shaping the product.
