Job summary

Kira is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a team building core product and platform capabilities for education AI. You will own people, ensure technical quality and reliability, and deliver outcomes for classrooms.

This senior role requires hands-on coding when valuable, with leadership across frontend, backend, and AI services. You will collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and leaders across regions, shaping goals into actionable plans while mentoring engineers and maintaining system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
• 8+ years professional engineering experience including production systems.
• 2+ years managing mid, senior and lead software engineers.
• Hands-on coding ability and review of substantive changes when useful.

Responsibilities

• Turn company priorities into clear problems, ownership, and milestones; identify critical path and surface risks.
• Review code, coach engineers on design, data modeling, debugging, performance, and security.
• Give ownership, develop engineers to independent owners, and delegate decisions.
