Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering in the Employee Platforms group in Columbus. You will guide multiple teams, manage day-to-day implementation activities, and ensure work adheres to compliance standards and business requirements.

You will drive enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices, define ways of working, measure outcomes, and coach engineers on secure data handling and reusable patterns across teams.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Experience leading enterprise AI-assisted development and data governance; coaching on compliant usage.
• Experience leading technology teams and delivering complex initiatives from concept to production.
• Hands-on SDLC delivery across design, development, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Strong full-stack background with backend development and integrations.
• Expert-level knowledge in at least one programming language; scalable design and performance.
• Advanced Agile, CI/CD, security, observability, cloud-native practices.
• Experience deploying in public/private cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities.
• Sets overall guidance and expectations for team output and collaboration.
• Leads adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices and SDLC automation to improve speed and quality.
• Applies SDLC tools to improve automation and capacity unlock initiatives.
• Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products per business needs.
• Manages stakeholder relationships and adheres to compliance standards.
