OpenAI is seeking an Engineering Manager for the ChatGPT Space in San Francisco. You will lead a high-agency product engineering team, guiding the vision from zero to one while shipping features that empower teams and agents to create together.

Experience leading engineering teams and helping engineers grow while delivering excellent products.
Ability to turn ambiguous opportunities into clear direction and practical execution plans.
Strong product judgment and design taste, with interest in how teams and agents create and collaborate.
Solid full-stack engineering fundamentals to guide decisions across frontend, backend, and model-facing systems.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and grow a product engineering team, creating clear ownership and hiring exceptional people.
Partner with product and design to shape the ChatGPT Space roadmap and translate user needs into releases.
Lead creation, editing, and collaboration experiences for teams and agents, including context-connected tools.
Set technical direction for full-stack product systems, editing and rendering surfaces, and model-facing integrations.
Collaborate with research teams on artifacts, model behavior, training needs, and evaluations.
