Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an experienced engineer to join the Engineering Acceleration team in our San Francisco HQ, to build and maintain foundational systems that boost developer productivity across ChatGPT and the API. You will help define strategy and roadmap to accelerate engineering velocity, working with many groups to understand workflows and needs.

Qualifications

• Has 5+ years in engineering with 3+ years building developer tooling.
• Shows empathy for bottlenecks that slow teams.
• Eager to learn and share knowledge clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement tools and systems that accelerate engineering velocity and reduce toil.
• Leverage AI tools to boost productivity of the engineering teams.
• Collaborate with multiple OpenAI groups to address workflows and needs.
• Introduce new features and research capabilities with product engineers.
• Advise teams on observable, scalable architectures.
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure reliability.
