Job summary

Anthropic in San Francisco is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Agent Runtime Platform. You will lead the team responsible for the compute and runtimes behind Anthropic's internal agents, ensuring you and your team remove blockers to productivity, experiment at the frontier, and build secure, scalable infrastructure.

You will own the technical strategy, manage day-to-day execution, and collaborate across teams to deliver safe, reliable agent execution with sandboxing and credential

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 10+ years building and operating large-scale platforms or distributed systems.
• 1+ years of management experience in a technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy and roadmap, translating goals into concrete execution.
• Manage day-to-day execution of the team's work.
• Prioritize the team’s work in a dynamic environment.
• Stay hands-on: build and ship the runtime platform and tooling.
• Define secure agent execution at scale with security teams on sandboxing and credential management.
• Build primitives that are reusable across agents.
• Own infrastructure scalability and reliability: capacity planning across cloud providers.
• Collaborate cross-team to support internal teams bringing up their agents.
