Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Agent Runtime Platform in San Francisco. You will guide the technical strategy, oversee delivery, and ensure secure, scalable agent execution in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead a team of engineers, collaborate with security and research partners, and drive cross-team initiatives to improve platform usability and reliability. A strong focus on communication and impact is essential.

Qualifications

10+ years building and operating large-scale platforms or distributed systems.
1+ years of management experience in a technical environment.
Interest in the potential transformative effects of AI and safe deployment.
Experience with container or VM orchestration at scale.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Own the technical strategy and roadmap, translating goals into execution.
Manage day-to-day execution of the team's work.
Prioritize work and manage projects in a dynamic environment.
Stay hands-on: build and ship the runtime platform and tooling.
Define secure agent execution at scale with security teams on sandboxing and credentials.
Build reusable primitives across agents.
Own infrastructure scalability and reliability across cloud providers.
Collaborate cross-team to support internal teams bringing up agents.
