Randstad USA seeks an Engineering Manager for a high growth chemical manufacturing client in the West Haven, CT area. The role defines site technical strategy and provides hands-on guidance to solve complex production issues, driving safety, quality, throughput, and cost improvements.

You will oversee design, tooling, and implementation for manufacturing processes and equipment, manage full-lifecycle capital projects, and champion governance, standards, and documentation across operations.

Qualifications

• Experience level: Manager
• Minimum 8 years of experience
• Education: Bachelors (required)

Responsibilities

• Strategy & Leadership: Define site technical strategy and provide hands-on guidance to solve complex production issues.
• Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, throughput, and cost performance.
• Engineering Operations: Oversee design, tooling, and implementation for manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Capital Execution: Manage full-lifecycle capital projects, including budgeting, vendor management, and validation.
• Governance & Standards: Establish site engineering standards, reliability frameworks, and technical documentation.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Site Leadership and R&D to match technical deliverables with operational needs.
• Talent & Culture: Mentor engineers, drive succession planning, and foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Innovation & Best Practices: Introduce advanced manufacturing technologies and standardize processes across sites.
• Travel: Occasional travel required.
