Accelera in Seattle is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a mechanical engineering group focused on material handling and capital equipment. • Skilled in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalent platforms.

• Mentor and cultivate a high-performing team of mechanical engineers specializing in material handling and capital equipment.
• Provide expert technical guidance and design supervision to elevate the quality of engineering across all active projects.
• Manage the distribution of resources, project prioritization, and overall workload planning.
• Help maintain a high standard of design for industrial equipment like stackers and conveyors to ensure operational success in heavy manufacturing.
• Validate and authorize engineering layouts, specifications, calculations, and final designs.
• Ensure that all equipment designs adhere to strict requirements regarding safety, cost-efficiency, performance, and manufacturability.
• Facilitate complex technical troubleshooting and root-cause investigations to resolve engineering challenges.
• Direct key decisions regarding system performance, structural integrity, mechanisms, and material selection.
• Assist in the planning of installations and provide solutions for commissioning or field-related issues.
• Work alongside Project Management to ensure that project execution remains aligned with budget and schedule goals.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing and Operations teams to guarantee that designs are fully optimized for production.
• Support the Sales team by assisting with technical scoping and defining customer-specific requirements.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by establishing engineering standards, documentation, and best practices.

Role Overview

• Familiarity with design-for-manufacturing methodologies and general manufacturing processes is preferred.

Education

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.

Compensation

The annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $150,000.
