Job description

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager to join a high volume fastener manufacturer, supplying to the Automotive sector.

Responsibilities

The purpose of this position is to be a technical lead and engineering liaison for all fastener related projects. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting fastener related resourcing activities to ensure timely engineering input & execution of required validation.
• Manufacturing and supplier support for production critical issues such as 8Ds or part shortages.
• Collaborating with Product Validation to support and recommend fasteners for joint design.
• Serve as Supervisor over the Engineering Department such as coach, mentor, responsible for performance assessments etc.
• Driving execution of fastener related cost reduction and complexity reduction projects.
• Partnering with Product Validation to determine appropriate test activities and acceptance criteria to validate fastener design and performance.
