MCR Hotels in New York City is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee maintenance of The Lexington Hotel NYC. You will lead a team of engineers, supervise day-to-day operations, manage budgets and capital expenditures, and ensure safety and guest satisfaction through reliable services.

You will coordinate repairs, supervise staff and contractors, and implement energy conservation measures while aligning with hotel objectives and standards.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; hotel/college training preferred.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills required.
• Strong knowledge of local codes and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Establish collaborative relationships with team members and guests.
• Monitor repair work orders for timeliness and quality.
• Inspect and maintain property systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety.
• Supervise daily engineering operations and staff performance.
• Prepare logs, manage parts, and supervise contractor work.
• Provide emergency response 24/7 and safety training.

Job description

Location: The Lexington Hotel NYCThe Engineering Manager is responsible for assisting in maintaining the building and grounds with particular attention towards safety, security, and asset protection. Furthermore, this role assigns, tracks and follows up on status of work assigned to staff and contractors as needed and helps to increase guest and team member satisfaction through effective communications and training.
