The Role

We seek an exceptional Engineering Manager to lead our Applications Engineering Chapter. This leadership role involves building and nurturing a team of full-stack and front-end engineers while contributing to our technical vision.

As a Chapter Lead, you will oversee a specialized function within our Agile Squad Model, acting as the technical cornerstone for web applications and APIs, and developing your team within cross-functional Pods focused on specific priorities. This role requires strong technical leadership and people management skills, with collaboration across Data Engineering, AI Engineering, MLOps, DevOps, and QA. The Engineering Manager reports to the CTO and can work remotely, primarily in the US Eastern time zone.

Responsibilities

• Hire and build a globally-distributed, successful team
• Plan and execute long-term strategies benefiting your team and product stages
• Understand and improve Engineering OKRs
• Lead multiple teams and cross-functional initiatives
• Drive process improvements across teams
• Conduct regular 1:1s and mentorship
• Enable your team to build high-quality, customer-delighting features
• Provide performance feedback and draft quarterly OKRs and KPIs
• Support production environment stability in collaboration with operations

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S./MSc in CS or related field with 12+ years in enterprise SaaS development
• Extensive Agile development experience
• Hands-on experience with Python, GCP, AWS, Microservices
• Proven ability to build and grow high-performing teams
• Technical background as a product development engineer
• Management experience as an engineering manager
• Strong communication and remote management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• B.S./MSc in CS or related field with 10+ years in SaaS development
• Expertise in Data and AI-driven applications
• Self-starter with a good sense of humor and composure under pressure

Compensation & Benefits

Remote, globally distributed team. Salary range: $175,000–$190,000, plus benefits:

• Three weeks PTO + December holiday recess
