Job summary

University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a Scholar in Residence to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in engineering management and related fields. The ideal candidate will have strong teaching credentials and a record of leadership within academic and professional settings.

The position is non-tenure track, renewable, and requires Colorado residence with in-person teaching obligations. Start is January 2027 with a potential later date; applications due Aug 30, 2026.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in engineering or related field; ten years of related industry experience.
• MBA or Master’s in Engineering or related field; fifteen years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in engineering management and related areas.
• Provide leadership and service to the department, university, and profession.
• Serve on committees as assigned (program, college or university committees).
• Work distribution: 80% teaching (5 courses per academic year) and 20% leadership and service.
