Job summary

The Colorado State University Foundation is seeking a Director of Development for the Walter Scott Jr. College of Engineering in Fort Collins.

You will lead major gifts efforts, manage a portfolio, and present compelling proposals to donors capable of $50,000+ gifts, aligning with College priorities and naming opportunities. You will collaborate with the college and central development teams, travel nationally, and steward donor relationships while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to

Qualifications

• Seven years of development or major gifts experience.
• Proven success in face-to-face solicitation of gifts $50,000+.
• Ability to engage diverse audiences and travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, cultivates, and solicits prospective major gifts of $50,000 and above.
• Writes, prepares, and presents persuasive proposals aligning donor interests with College goals.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to gifts recording policies.
• Collaborates with faculty, dean, and cross-campus partners to maximize fundraising impact.
• Manages a development portfolio and drives strategy to achieve metrics.
